Winter 2012

The 2012 schedule is beginning to take shape for the Austin Greyhounds.

The schedule is highlighted by four great tournaments.

The Hounds will travel to Moorhead for an early season tournament that will give the team an opportunity to see some good pitching and hitting early in the season.

In June the Hounds will be part of the 25th Dewey Tauer Tournament in Red Wing and Miesville. The Dewey Tauer will be a 12 team pool play tournament with great competition.

June 21st  through the 24th the Hounds will host the prestigious SPAMtown Challenge. The SPAMtown Challenge, regarded as one of the greatest tournaments in the Mid-West, will host some of the best teams from MN, WI, IA and IL.

Cold Spring MN will be the site of the Greyhounds last regular season tournament of the year. The Hounds will play in the 3 game round robin tournament in late July.

The Hounds will host several teams in the regular season action along with its new section opponents. The Austin Greyhounds along with the Rochester Royals have been paired up with the Rosemount Black Sox and the Savage Outlaws to form a new section for 2012.

As always the Hounds look forward to seeing you all at Marcusen Park! The Greyhounds have some of the greatest fans in all of amateur baseball.
